ADR and holographic conferencing.

USA – Cisco SystemsCisco Systems put on a tremendous show recently in Bangalore (India) where the company unveiled new technology that allows parties to interact holographically, face to face providing a full, rich, three dimensional experience.

During the presentation to the media, Cisco CEO John Chambers "beamed up" Marthin De Beer, Senior Vice President of Emerging Technology Group at Cisco, and Chuck Stucki the General Manager of the Telepresence Business Unit from San Jose, California. It was a photorealistic, life-size and live meeting. It is astounding.

The potential for this technology defies imagination. Better said, it challenges the mind to imagine its many applications and usefulness. It is another step in that direction “where no man has gone before”.

We can fantasize about the usefulness and implications of this technology for mediation, arbitration, or negotiation. Better we let the reader do his or her own day dreaming.

The first link is an excerpt of the second link. In this first link, Cisco’s executives in San Jose “walk in” on stage to join Cisco’s CEO.
