En julio de 2001 Arbitraje y Mediación (ARyME) y el Centro para el Arbitraje Internacional de Hong Kong (HKIAC) firman un acuerdo para la promoción del arbitraje y la mediación mercantil internacional.
The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) is a company limited by guarantee and a non-profit organisation established under Hong Kong law. It is one of the world’s leading dispute resolution organisations, specialising in arbitration, mediation, adjudication and domain name disputes resolution. HKIAC also offers state-of-the-art hearing facilities, which have been ranked first worldwide for location, value for money, IT services and helpfulness of staff.
HKIAC was established in 1985 by a group of leading businesspeople and professionals in an effort to meet the growing need for dispute resolution services in Asia. So that the HKIAC could be set up initially, the Hong Kong business community and the Hong Kong Government provided funding to the HKIAC. Today, the HKIAC is financially self-sufficient, and completely free and independent from any type of influence or control.
