A new arbitration center in the British Virgin Islands has formally opened for business. And some high-profile figures in the arbitration world are getting behind the effort.
The British Virgins Islands announced on Wednesday the launch of BVI International Arbitration with the hope that it will become a go-to forum for commercial arbitrations arising worldwide.
The BVI IAC, located at Ritter House on Wickhams Cay II, would administer arbitrations under its own rules as well as self-administered “ad hoc” arbitrations.
